I picked up this old issue of the Saturday Evening Post from a place calle Whitings Old Papers north of Richmond a few months back. Its a cool article with some cool photos. Enjoy.
Honestly, trail riding is the most fun thing I think I've ever done in my entire life. Blasting down a 3 foot wide trail at 40 miles an hour pretty much totally out of control just letting the bike bounce off of whatever and having to make hundreds of split decisions in minutes is fucking awesome. It's well worth the 4 hours of driving to get to the National Forest trails for a day of riding. This year we have a bigger crew so hopefully everyone can get out and we can have some fun.
I know I'll be at the Shenandoah 500 again this year. Hopefully a few more friends will end up with trail bikes this year and will roll with the 4 of us that did it last year.
We're lucky enough to have a friend who works at probably the coolest auto service shop in Richmond. Sportscar Workshops does all kinds of work on high end sportscars and rare foreign vehicles. Sometimes if one of us needs a lift to work on our cars or if we need a special tool or something he'll let us come up to the shop and do what we need to do. Here are a few photos of some of the cool shit they have inside:
