Having a little freak out today

I've been feeling a little overwhelmed by all the projects I've got going on lately. I'm trying to sell my projects and just buy something that fucking works. If anybody wants anything just hit me up via email or text me. That includes both triumphs, both triumph motors, a little chopper seat and triumph fender. A peanut tank, and a bunch of other shit. I'd like to sell the motors whole but if you're willing to pay the right price i may part them out. Pics of most of my shit are on here already but just let me know if you want anything else. If i dont get much response in the next week or so I'm gonna start ebaying shit as much as I hate ebay.

kurtxweishaar@gmail.com if you're interested in anything or text me if you have my number.

Keepers of the faith

Our good friend David Wood is in an awesome hardcore band called Terror. They started a blog and are recording a new album right now. Check them out.

Keepers of the Faith

been re-reading lately

“But with the throttle screwed on, there is only the barest margin, and no room at all for mistakes. It has to be done right... and that's when the strange music starts, when you stretch your luck so far that fear becomes exhilaration and vibrates along your arms. You can barely see at a hundred; the tears blow back so fast that they vaporize before they get to your ears. The only sounds are the wind and a dull roar floating back from the mufflers. You watch the white line and try to lean with it... howling through a turn to the right, then to the left, and down the long hill to Pacifica... letting off now, watching for cops, but only until the next dark stretch and another few seconds on the edge... The Edge... There is no honest way to explain it because the only people who really know where it is are the ones who have gone over. The others- the living- are those who pushed their luck as far as they felt they could handle it, and then pulled back, or slowed down, or did whatever they had to when it came time to choose between Now and Later. But the edge is still Out there. Or maybe it's In. The association of motorcycles with LSD is no accident of publicity. They are both a means to an end, to the place of definitions."

Been busy as fuck lately

Went to NYC last weekend to see the Tim Burton exhibit at the MoMA and to eat and just get away for a weekend. Saw some cool shit and bought some cool shit. Probably the coolest thing I got is a Vanson motorcycle jacket for waaaay cheaper than I've ever seen one. No pic of that but here's a few of the other shit:

this...

should probably be illegal...

bad pic but my finally completed WR450 supermoto'd. 17" excel rims with talon hubs, 320mm motomaster front rotor with a brembo caliper and SS brake lines front and back. JD Jet Kit, FMF pipe and muffler, a bunch of other tricks. Too much fun to be legal.

This past week

Worked on bikes, rode some trails, talked to some bums. This is the first video I've ever edited. There will be more.

My bikes

I never posted on this thing, so here goes. The other day I decided to buy a Harley. I saw one on craigslist that I had seen last season and almost bought but backed out of. So on a whim, I grabbed the random cash I had stashed throughout my socks and drawers in my room, begged andrew to ride with me to pick it up, and within the hour I was the owner of a 72 xlch. It was completely rebuilt a few years back. Bored out, and has a wide glide front end. It also has a grim reaper on the headlight. I'm leaving it as is, except for the bags and flame grips, since I already have a chopped up bike. Oh, kickstart only is a fucking bitch. So if somebody wants to sell me their electric starter kit, let me know.

My other bike is a 1981 xs650 that was chopped by Roberto. It started out completely stock, and I mean it had everything that sucked. Windshield, giant boat seat, shitty pipes, worst color, etc. The only thing left from the old bike is the front end, the wheels, and the engine. It's pretty loud, pretty damn fast off the line, and fun to tear around the city with.

cya.

Last night

Got the fog machine AKA 74 bonneville running. It vomited oil and smoke for about a minute at 4,000 RPM, but at least it runs and there were no crazy knocking sounds. I need to figure out how to adjust Amal carbs and wire everything up the right way.

Everyone else tried to put the souls back in their bikes that our garage sucks out of them...

National Forest trail ride on Sunday. Stoked for that.

gotta love the ups man

picked up a used 21 from the jockeyjournal last week and it came in today.

New 74 Bonneville T140V

New bike I picked up on Friday from my weird friend Tom. He offered to sell me every motorcycle and part that he has for $10,000. I think he thinks I'm stupid. He's the kind of old man who thinks he's seen and done it all and knows everything about everything. He told me "I was young and crazy. I don't have tattoos. I have scars. They're like tattoos with a story." OK Tom. You're a cool old man. Not a weirdo that has ten thousand cool parts and not a single cool bike.

Wired in a kill switch and got it to kick over on Saturday night with some starting fluid. I think I figured out why the kick starter was slipping too after I got the clutch adjusted a little and drained some of the oil out of the primary case. Gonna start rebuilding carbs tonight I hope. This is the first semi-running Triumph I've ever fucked with. That kick starter is brutal!

Finally finished my fucking bathroom after almost two months of working on it. That's not really related to Easy End but I'm posting up a few before-during-after photos of it because I'm pretty fucking proud of it. Big thanks to Angie, and my dad for the help and to Roberto, Jared and Jason for putting up with living a construction zone for a month and a half. I can finally return to fun projects now and I know everyone is sick of hearing about "the bathroom".
