Lock Down

Did a little home improvement on Saturday to try and minimize future run ins with idiots trying to take our shit. For those that don't know, I caught some idiot trying to walk off with my girlfriend's KLX250SF a few months back and luckily the dog woke me up and I was able to stop it from getting taken. Anyway, because having to put our bikes in the shed every night is a pain in the ass I made a little something to lock them up to that is more substantial and easier to use than our F150's brush guard. It's a lot harder for a thief to get away with a bike with no rear wheel than one with just a broken handguard. Of course, if they really want it they'll get it, but I'm going to at least make it a pain in the ass.

Garage Night

Soup, 3 degreez, The General, Tbone, Todd and myself hit the garage tonight. Sparks flew, wrenches turned and work got done all and all productive evening at the Double E. Departure swap coming up soon lets do it.

Fxr fun

Been planning a trip cross country in may, decided to make a few changes to the fxr.
Rebuilt top end and inner primary, new bars, fxrp bags, powder and paint on a few things, progressive shocks, still waiting on a different seat and an exhaust and maybe a pinstripe.

I Think I've Been Hiding Myself

I tried to go on strike as the only contributing member of this blog to make the other lazy fucks post. It didn't work. With that I give you Bad Boy Brad:

Back Together

...mostly

Missing

OK Well the bike is painted and back together and 99% complete. Got a few wires to reconnect and a few things to zip tie and hide and shit like that but I can't get this thing to run right to save my life. After I finished the mock up in November I had been riding the bike around unpainted for about 2 weeks to make sure everything was in a good spot and nothing was rubbing or needed to be adjusted or moved before I took it back apart for paint and chrome. I was riding to work one morening and went to get on the interstate and hit it hard on the onramp to get up to speed and it just wouldn't go above about 55 mph. I thought I'd gotten some shit in the main jet because it was only above half throttle so I turned around and limped it home. I decided I'd just take it back apart and clean the carb while I was at it and I did. I got it back together Tuesday night and fired it up and its still doing the same shit. Idles and starts fine but when you get above half throttle it just starts missing super bad and shooting flames out the exhaust. I've been at it for 2 nights trying to fix it and I'm going to try and swap my carb for a buddy's and then swap my ignition with another friend who has the same one and see what happens. Here's what I've done so far:
